JADE TAPSON GLASS

Jade Tapson is a glass artist based in West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. She completed her studies at the University of Sunderland's National Glass Centre, earning a BA in Glass and Ceramics in 2014 and an MA in Glass in 2016.

Jade specialises in screen printing on glass, using glass powders and employing the technique of air entrapment to produce intricate patterns and uniform bubble formations, creating highly tactile artworks with a mesmerizing presence. Her work is inspired by a lifelong fascination with fashion and textiles, which inform the intricate patterns she designs. In recent years, her creativity has expanded to incorporate patterns found in nature and the geometric designs characteristic of Islamic art and architecture. By combining these influences with her innovative screen printing techniques, Jade has been mastering the art of controlling air entrapment within her work, resulting in visually striking and technically advanced glass art.

Her work has been showcased both locally and internationally, featuring large-scale bespoke artworks. Additionally, Jade crafts unique fused glass jewelry, gifts, homeware, and bespoke artworks, reflecting her exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
